Over the years, I’ve been incredibly grateful for the support people have shown my music. Whether you’ve come to a gig, streamed a song, shared a post, or simply taken the time to listen, it all matters more than you probably realise. Because of that support, I want to be open and honest about a shift I’m making in how I promote and share my music.
I’ll be focusing much more on Bandcamp going forward.
This decision comes down to fairness, sustainability, and respect for the work musicians put into their craft.
Streaming services have changed the way people consume music, and there’s no denying the convenience they offer. But the reality for artists, especially independent musicians, is pretty confronting. Platforms like Spotify pay fractions of a cent per stream. Even with thousands of plays, the return to the artist is minimal.
I’m not in music to become famous or to make millions. I never have been. But I am proud of what I do, I put real time, money, emotion, and years of experience into my songs, and I believe that work deserves fair compensation.
At the moment, the balance is well and truly tipped in favour of large corporations. Streaming platforms continue to grow richer, while the artists creating the content struggle to cover recording costs, let alone make a sustainable income from their music.
Bandcamp offers something that feels much closer to how music should work.
When you buy music on Bandcamp, the majority of that money goes directly to the artist. You’re not feeding an algorithm, you’re supporting a real person. It also allows artists to share music on their own terms, whether that’s digital downloads, physical releases, or exclusive content for supporters.
Bandcamp feels less like shouting into the void and more like having a genuine connection with the people who choose to support your work.
My music will still exist on streaming platforms for those who prefer them, but Bandcamp is where I’ll be encouraging listeners to follow me, support new releases, and purchase music if they choose to.
If you’d like to follow me on Bandcamp or support my music directly, you can do that here:

Following me there costs nothing and helps massively. Purchasing music there makes an even bigger difference and allows me to keep writing, recording, and releasing songs honestly and independently.
I don’t take any support for granted. Every listen, every message, and every purchase genuinely helps keep this journey moving forward. Choosing Bandcamp is about valuing music, valuing artists, and valuing the connection between the two.
Thank you for listening, thank you for supporting live music, and thank you for supporting independent artists like me.
